The 3-point checklist to cut your ops costs in 30 days
Targeting exception handling, decision latency, and redundant quality checks.

Operations costs creep up slowly and invisibly. Most leaders attack headcount first; the real waste usually hides in how work flows.
1. Exception handling
Track how much time goes to work that falls outside the standard process. Exceptions are where cost multiplies.
2. Decision latency
Measure how long work waits for a decision. Push authority down to where the information lives.
3. Redundant quality checks
Map every review step. Where two checks catch the same defect, keep the one closest to the source.
